In the Middle Ages, Breda was an important hub for Dutch brewing. Breda Beer began at the ‘3 Hoefijzers’ (3 Horseshoes) brewery, founded in 1538 and run by the Smits van Waesberghe family for six generations. Today, using the original recipe and proudly bearing the three horseshoes insignia, Breda Beer is enjoyed for its craftsmanship and heritage across the world.
